Jason Worilds continues to be a no-show. He has been pretty solid in coverage but he has generated zero pass rush and cant shed a block in the run game. At some point he needs to start showing us something.

I don't know that I'd say he's generated zero pass rush. He was in the QBs face a few times. And a few times he was picked up so someone else could go free. That's how the ZB works. The kid does have some work to do though, no question about that. The main thing I saw was that he really is slow off the ball. So glad the Steelers kept James Harrison around when the idiot fans wanted him gone for, of all things, a magazine interview!
Agreed but he is a second rounder, he’s been around a few years, and he has played against some 2nd and 3rd teamers. You need to see more from him when he gets guys 1-on-1.
He was a beast last year on Special Teams before he got injured. Unfortunately the kickoff coverage unit is becoming obsolete.
He looks like another wasted 2nd round pick.
This is his second season. He has not been "around a few years."
Can we give him another season before labeling him a bust?
No offense, but of the 8 or so plays on that video, he got two decent pressures – one outside move that caused the QB to step up (against the Eagles) and one good bull rush where he got in the QB's face. Here's my analysis, play by play:
1) Looks like he thought for a second that he should go with the TE – maybe he was supposed to give him a quick jam at the line. I would call this a delay blitz, but it was easily handled by the LT. Grade: C
2) Got chipped by RB, pushed to the ground by LT – a weak play. Grade: D
3) Nice swim move, causes the QB to step up. This is a good (not great) pass rush attempt. Grade: B
4) Gets ridden out wide. Not that this never happens to great pass rushers like Harrison, but he didn't hold his edge well. Grade: C-
5) Really nice bull rush – gets his man back in the QB's lap, puts his hand up in his face. Grade: A
6) Gets a cut block to the knee, QB's 3-step drop and roll away gives him no chance. Grade: B-
So, six opportunities, 2 decent pressures, 2 really weak plays, 2 so-so. It's not necessarily what you would love to see from the next guy in line at ROLB, but it's certainly not "wasted pick" territory.
Man i wish you would post more 'articles' and not just videos anymore with a couple paragraphs
As someone else noted, he's been in the system 1 year, not "a few."
Transitioning from DE to OLB is not an easy task to ask of a player, we were probably spoiled with how quickly Woodley picked it up.
I think Worilds strength is his speed, but he still lacks in the strength department, I'd like to see him bulk up.
This guy is real slow off the ball. And lets remember, this is against backups! He should be doing far more than this….
Dagger is right to bring this to our attention.
lmao. Video is almost as good as the Frank Summers one 2 years ago. I hated both of those picks. Awesome work Dagger.
