I could live with that pick for the Steelers if it happened. Of course, what happens at the combine will change alot of these picks.
Yeah, Otah is the name everyone keeps speculating about. I hate drafts when we need Linemen early. They’re so boring. It’s more fun to speculate over LBs, WRs, QBs, RBs, etc…. :)
No offense to the OL, but they don’t really get you excited come draft day. You need studs of course and if you don’t play the free agent game this is the way you have to go.
I’ve had enough of our OL troubles. I’m all for Otah.
What I’m hoping is that we have success later in the draft…like the old Steeler teams used to be accustomed to.
I hope we take a good center in the second or third round, you can usually get a good center without having to go first round.
I’m all for the Skins taking a big WR but I think OL/DL is a more pressing issue. Wouldn’t mind seeing Groves or Otah in burgundy & gold next year.
Otah would be the safe bet. However, I’ve always been a sucker for horsepower in the skill positions.
I’d love to have Limas Sweed in black & gold lined up opposite of Santonio Holmes and move Ward to the slot in his last few years.
Ward would thrive in the slot with his punishing blocks and ability to short pattern seperation.
If Chris Williams and Jeff Otah are both on at 1.23, give me Williams. Guy can play now, and will be a franchise LT for years. Otah’s a project.
