Frame by Frame: Where Have I Seen This Before?

By Dagger | October 1, 2008

Once again a Steeler abuses Bart Scott on national TV.  No wonder he hates our squad and wants to “kill” some of our players.  This year he was taken to school by TE McHugh and WR Santonio Holmes.  Check it out in this video.

These frames give you a good idea how the 15 yard penalty on Johnson came about.

1. Notice that our buddy Johnson #95 has just missed a tackle and has a birds-eye view of the events unfolding in front of him.  He is about to witness Bart Scott getting blown up by a skinny WR.

2.  Nate Washington comes around the edge on a reverse.  Santonio Holmes does what any self-respecting Steeler WR does and he JACKS UP the nearest defender on a crack-back.

Santonio lowers the BOOOOM.

3. Johnson enters the picture again and targets #10 Santonio Holmes.  He no doubt saw his teammate get demolished and is looking for a little revenge.

4. Johnson shoves Holmes into the ground and then gives Ward the business.  So, in a way, the aggressive and tough brand of football played by Santonio Holmes is ultimately responsible for the 15 yard pentaly.  Well done.

And in case you were watching this wondering “where have I seen this before…?”  Take a look at the screens we captured from last year Ravens vs Steelers. (we pulled these images from a post last year)

Why So Mad?

ravenssteelers15.jpg

So why so mad? Why the foul mood? Oh yeah, the scoreboard and the overall domination of your entire team. Let’s enjoy a nice, clean hit on LB Bart Scott by the one-and-only Hines Ward.

[note: Santonio Holmes hit a Ravens DB just as violently in this game on a similar play. I didn't put the pics up here but Ward has taught Holmes well]

And FYI, there is nothing dirty about a hit like this. If Parker slips by Ray Lewis (not very hard to do these days) and Scott gets put down then Parker is off to the races up the sidelines.

BOOOM!

Ah yes, Bart Scott with his feet above his head.

And remember this from last year?  Hines Ward de-cleating Ed Reed?

Well, he did it again on Monday night.

I can’t help but laugh at hines’s little dance after this year’s hit, and I’m supposed to have good sportsmanship…

Santonio Holmes also leveled #50 in one play. I was at the game and could see it fromthe end zone. Would like to see it again. #50 got up and slapped Santonio on the helmet twice before he finally retaliated then finally the refs throogh the flag, but against Holmes

    Oh Boy!!!

I was laghing my ass off on that play by Holmes…. A shame they have only replayed it 4 times after the penalty… I could have watched that all night long…

… and Ward is freakin’ god damn good… It’s inspiring to see him playing…

Nice physical play by the Steelers….got to like that, however I did notice in the 2007 Ward hit on Reed… Hines led with his helmet– but it looks like he adjusted for 2008 as he walloped Reed clean.

How about Ray knocking your stud RB out for the year in a one on one hit where the guy was actually LOOKING FOR THE HIT. Hines is a bad A** when the guy isn’t looking…every hit by the mullet-fans steeler squad is when a Raven is not looking pursuing the play. CONGRATS. Now do it where the man is face up. The Ravens clearly beat up the unemployment-liners, but you got the win, so kudos. can’t wait to get you in bmore, where most of you losers had to move to actually get a decent job.

Hey out of work steel Baltimore dude — all I saw was Ward hitting Reed FACE FORWARD AND HEAD ON — and Reed responding with a lil’ girlie punch to the gut. Tsk tsk.

Pittsburgh WRs OWN Baltimore LBs. Ha ha!
