Scouting Report: Barry Sanders, Jr.

By i-Maque | December 16, 2008

He may just be a freshman in high school, but Barry Sanders Junior is already beginning to show the makings of what made his father one of the greatest running backs in NFL history.

A couple weeks ago, the football world was delighted to see Junior run this 64 yard reverse in a Oklahoma state’s semi-final game.

Nice, right? Well, just this past weekend, Junior showed the world even more, getting 9 rushes for 106 yards and 3 TDs in the state finals. He demonstrated much of his father’s cutting abilities as well as some of his humility along the way.

And notice how every time he scores, he does exactly what his dad used to do. He acts like he’s been there before and simply hands the ball to the official.

Ballhype: hype it up!
